Here are some of the images from the Boscanova exhibition. Overall it was a pretty good night, despite losing my favourite headband. There were some really good vibes and lots of mulled wine, and even though not many of the framed work was sold on the night, the exhibition will carry on until sometime in January.

beSpokE Owlys

Hmmm...Okay so I made these owls by casting them from a silicone mould that I made from a sculpy model. It was quite a fun experience, although the process of getting the perfect cast was quite challenging, as it is a messy process involving the of nasty sticky chemicals that you have to mix together and then pour in the mould. The fun part was painting them!!! I chose three colours in the end and kept them quite simple, as they were quite fiddly. Overall I am quite happy with them, but a lot of their feet didn't come out as well as I'd hoped.

BeSpokE badges

Here are some badges I have made, using the wonderful creation of the badge presser. It was so very easy to use , and I don't know why I haven't made more badges by now. Planning to sell them at £2 each.

BeSpokE

Here are some of the prints I have screen printed for the Boscanova exhibition. The theme for the exhibition was meant to be winter/festive, but I didn't want to create images that solely for this exhibition. I wanted the prints to look good on the wall anytime of the year. Pretty pleased with the way they came out, even if they weren't as perfect as I'd have liked them to be.

The snow Goose

bees

I drew some bees and this is what happened...
I quite like this little doodle I did in my sketchbook. It is buddhist inspired and I think it would good as a screen print

Here's one of my designs for the penguin book cover competition. I like the ideas of the shadows and the hand manipulating the bird. Although I think I need to use some diiferent lighting and adjust the shadow composition slightly. I also feel the typography I have created is quite strong.
Here's the front cover for my buddhism book. I'm really pleased with the result. I used screen print textures for the background and the symbols.

For the first project of 2nd year I had to create a series of informative images for a deluxe version of the text; Buddhism, An introduction. I found this project quite challenging, but it was rewarding in the end and I'm quite pleased with these images.

Here's a photo booth of me and my illustration buddies from halloween. I really like the composition, even though we were only taking them for fun. And I think we look pretty scary.

Oh wow! I really seem to have neglected my blog, but now I've started my second year of illustration and I have quite a few bits to put up. Here are some sketches I did over the summer. I'm quite like them as they have a certain fluid style. I may make some of them into screen prints

Probably one of my favourite drawings I've done this year

This is a card design I have done recently because PUGS are so cute!!!

Here are some of the final images that I used in my last project in the first year of illustration. It was based on gardening and uses the processes of screen and mono printing.

Empty calories

Here's a little stop frame I made a couple of months ago. Its a very rough unfinished piece, but it's quite humerus and will probably make you hungry.

Fanzine images (consumerism for 6-12 year olds)

This was a project, in which I had to work in a group to create a fanzine. The fanzine is entitled consumerism for 6-12 year olds and illustrates how children can be brainwashed into buying anything. Therefore the concept of the fanzine is purely satirical.
